Power ascender is a mechanical device used for climbing and rescuing people. These are powered devices that enable you to climb walls sides of buildings, mountains, and in ascending places with the pull of a trigger.
The ropes attached to the device have the power to carry weight of about 200 to 250 kgs. It has the ability to catch any kind of rope thrown at it. They are usually taken in use by war fighters and navy personnel to ascend and descend vertically with high speed. Power ascenders are controlled by remote and interchangeable battery.
When attached with pulleys, power ascender efficiency can be increased tremendously. It increases its capacity to hold things which makes it easier to lift and lower things. It can handle to about more than one ton of load with the use of pulleys. The ropes attached with the ascender are thick ropes ranging from 6 to 11mm of diameter which are easy to have strong grip on them.
Power ascenders are easy to carry due to light weight. These are not used at plain walls where you can also take help of feet and hands to support yourself with the wall. They are effective in places where they are uneven vertical surfaces like rocks, mountains, where you can’t have a strong grip with the use of body parts.
